Dhruv & Kavya - Meet up @Memories Cafe

A new meet up at Memories Café

Our worst phase of life will make us think best are yet to come. But only our circumstance decides the journey to be good or bad.

Here comes journey of a young man who has no idea & never thought that, what his life would go through.

Who’s doors are now opened to show him a new life.

 New beginning

On a pleasant morning and it was Christmas of 2019 (the day of his release). At Central jail with the clangs of the iron front doors opened, a young man walks out of the jail after 10 years who was falsely accused of the crime at the age of 16. He was sentenced for ten years imprisonment, now returned to outside world.

He went to the main road and didn’t know where to go. He randomly took right and walked straight on the road few meters away he saw a bus stop and after some time a bus came He stepped in the bus.

Ticket...Ticket..? : sounds Conductor

Conductor (asking him) : sir, where you want to go?

He closed his eyes for a second & opened, He gazed outside window. He notices a billboard displaying the name “Cafe of Memories” with some words

          “Cherish your life in a strange way with Memories Café” 

                                                                                              - Santa 🎅 Claus

Merry Christmas

Suddenly he said to the conductor,

He: One, to Memories café. He gets a ticket

Conductor: Yes, you should get down at the next stop for Memories cafe

He: Thank you...

After some time he visited the café

At the entrance there was a name board mentioning

Our service is to serve memories by our wall of memories...

Inside Memories Cafe: Pleasant music was playing.

Looks of wheatish rugged face, bearded guy entered the café sat on the chair...

Abishek went near him...

Abishek (café of memories partner): Hello sir, what do you like to have?

He: (in silence)

Abishek: Sir,,,why are you silent sir,
              If you don’t mind, may I know your name please, why you are looking so disturbed?... sir       

He said his name...

He: Dhruv

And little info about his past. In the end of conversation

Dhruv asked,

Dhruv : Who is the owner of this cafe...?

Abi: I’m one of the partner sir..
       What do you want?  what can I do for you sir?

Dhruv: Sir is there any job vacancies here , see I have completed B.Com in jail with 65 %. Neither I have no place to stay nor anyone to help.

Abishek (saying): Wait sir I’ll discuss with my friends (partners) Alex and Yogi 
then I'll let u know.

Abi discussed and they planned that they'll first verify his info about him.

They received the resume and essential information about him.

Cafe of Memories: We’ll let you know once the vacancy is avail...wait for some time till we reach you..

Dhruv: Please, provide your details for contact..

Abi: Sorry...

Abi gave the Cafe of Memories card and said

Abi:  After 20 days contact us or come to the café, we’ll discuss ..Thank you!

Abi: Okay sir, what do u want to have?

Dhruv: ordered...

Some time later Dhruv took a pic and hung it on the memories wall.

After that Dhruv went near to memories wall & saw each photo on the memories wall,

At that time Dhruv saw one photo randomly which was a girl's photo about 5 to 6 photos with different children and He was curious about her and fascinated...

In memories wall there was also a pic of Alex – Abi – Yogi, Laya & Raghu, and few pics of some others.

When he decided to leave the cafe,
Dhruv reached the exit. He saw that girl who was on those photos with another child. Dhruv got surprised and left the cafe..

With the amount he earned in jail by working , He rented in a small room and started searching for some job...

Also got job in a roadside fast food shop.

After that cafe of memories started their verification about Dhruv. Finally they came to know all the info provided by Dhruv was true.

Days passed

After twenty days Dhruv visited the Memories Cafe

Cafe of memories gave a job to Dhruv to handle maintenance of the cafe & as a waiter for replacement. Finally Yogi,Abi, Alex & Dhruv took a pic and hung it on the memories wall.

At that moment Dhruv saw the pic of that girl with another child on the memories wall.

Yes, that was the same child whom he saw when he visited the cafe first time 20 days back.

After 12 days a girl named Kavya visited a café who was their regular customer who visits the cafe every month

Kavya entered the cafe and went to her favourite place ( table chair) to sit

Few minutes later Dhruv came to her to serve them..

She was with a little girl she was sitting opposite to her...

Dhruv (asked): is she your kid..?

She laughed  & said no...

She is an orphan...

She (Kavya): I have not seen you before here? Are you a new joinee ?

Dhruv: Yes mam a week before I got appointed as a waiter.

Dhruv: Oh! Sorry mam what do you like to have?..

She ordered..

Few minutes later Dhruv went to her with the dish She ordered,,,

Dhruv: Mam, here is your lovely dish.

While serving her..

Dhruv: Mam, if you don’t mind may I know your name..

She: Yep,,,Kavya..

Dhruv: nice name mam.

Dhruv went to handle other customer

After some time...

Dhruv went near to Kavya & asking

Dhruv: Mam...I have noticed n number of pics on the memories wall with a different child...

May I know who are these children...

Kavya: I always used to visit this café every month and this is my 6 th month with a child from the orphan where I grew..

Dhruv asked the little girls name.

She(little girl) : Umayaal..

Dhruv: okay mam, enjoy your moments,,, see you later and went on to serve the other customer ....

After some time...

Kavya & Dhruv shared few words...

The conversation developed

Dhruv: By the way, where are you working?

Kavya: I’m working as a fashion designer...

Dhruv: Sounds good..

Kavya and Dhruv smiled on each other..

The conversation gets stronger,,,

Dhruv shared few words about him to Kavya and played with Umayaal...

Finally they three took a pic and hanged it on the memories wall.

Kavya : You got good jaw lines, better see you in trimmed beard next time....

Dhruv: Hahaha...sure, thanks for the compliments...

Kavya left the cafe with some happiness...

And Dhruv wonder looking forward for a good relationship ahead,,,

New journey & friendships of two strangers gets stronger and developed

...it’s continued...

Memories wall captured the soulful moments of two souls by creating a new family and their service to serve memories continues..
